The San Domenico Golf is located where the Apulian countryside meets the blue of the Adriatic Sea and is perfectly nestled between the slopes of the Itria Valley and the tourist port of Savelletri, in the province of Brindisi. Splendid private and reserved beaches await guests to relax at the end of the fatigue of the game.
The San Domenico Golf course is a magnificent 18-hole par 72 course, open all year round thanks to the favourable climate. It winds through gentle slopes for 6,300 meters along the coast, enriched by ancient olive trees of rare beauty and punctuated by the colours and scents of the typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Those who stay here have various solutions available, such as the 14th century Masseria San Domenico with its white tower: a 5-star hotel that allows you to choose between luxurious rooms, suites or villas. Or you can opt in a similar context for Masseria Cimino or for the magical atmosphere of the Corte, the mother structure of the nearby Borgo Egnazia, which takes its name from the ancient city of Egnathia: other 5-star resorts connected to the same property.
The course, designed by London-based European Golf Design, is characterized by a combination of strategically placed bunkers. Its proximity to the sea, which offers exceptional panoramic views, further increases the degree of difficulty thanks to the presence of winds which, depending on the hole, play as allies or adversaries on the track. It is not surprising that it has established itself as one of the best golf clubs in Italy.
At the Masseria San Domenico, which also houses the Club House, there is an immense brackish water swimming pool surrounded by natural rocks and streams, an extraordinary SPA with a thalassotherapy centre and tennis courts, as well as the magnificent Egnazia suite and rooms. divided into three types: Corte Bella, Splendida and Magnifica.
Accommodations of equal prestige can be found staying at Masseria Cimino or at the Corte, where once you cross the wide entrance arch, the ancient inspiration of the farms and the symmetries of modern design coexist in a combination of absolute perfection.
Other swimming pools and various bars and restaurants delight the visitors of San Domenico Golf in the various facilities available. The food and wine offered are excellent, even gourmet: for example, you can enjoy the refined traditional Apulian cuisine in the Club House restaurant or have a feast of fish at the La Nassa restaurant along the beach of the San Domenico a Mare annexe, which offers additional accommodation.
