The international “birdie-open.com” calendar continues in 2022, a circuit without borders that has been held for years in Switzerland, Austria and Germany and has now landed steadily in Italy as well.
It is an international circuit different from all the others, due to the particular mechanism that governs the rankings for the purposes of qualifying for the Final.

One race, three rankings
It is in fact the only Circuit that manages to reward players at the same time based on three different criteria: net and gross performance (‘Order of Merit’); the loyalty of those who participate in several stages of the Circuit (‘Most played’); the number of gross Birdies and Eagles scored in the competition (“Birdie & Eagle”).
The first twenty classified in the ‘Order of Merit’, the first ten in the ‘Most played’ classification and the first ten in the ‘Birdie & Eagle’ classification enter the Final.
It is played on three fronts
You can therefore qualify for the Final through the sum of the following three rankings.
‘Order of merit’: the best five net results of the season are counted, but calculated through a compensation factor (as illustrated in the sito del Circuito) which will avoid disadvantage, in Stableford points, the players with the lowest handicap.
“Most played”: each participation awards 10 points (excluding NP, NR and Disqualified).
“Birdie & Eagle”: each gross birdie is worth 1 point; each gross eagle is worth 2 points.

The birdie-open.com 2022 Circuit began in Italy on March 26th and will end on October 23rd. The Final of the Circuit will be held over several days of racing, with a Mediterranean Cruise aboard the Costa Smeralda, from 5 to 12 November 2022.
